Ending title card: The massacres of 1898, year of the Great Blizzard, finally brought forth fierce public condemnation of the bounty killers, who, under the guise of false legality, made violent murder a profitable way of life. For many years there was a clapboard sign at Snow Hill which carried this legend: MEN'S BOOTS CAN KICK UP THE DUST OF THIS PLACE FOR A THOUSAND YEARS, BUT NOTHING MAN CAN EVER DO WILL WIPE OUT THE BLOOD STAINS OF THE POOR FOLK WHO FELL HERE.

[Silence remembers his first encounter with Pollicut... a candle in the present match-cuts to a candle burning several years earlier, as Pollicut and two bounty killers ride towards Gordon's house, who is loading a rifle]
Silence's Mother: No, dear. You can't... you'd better surrender!
[Pollicut and the two killers walk up to the house]
Fake Sheriff: Gordon, I've got a warrant for your arrest. There's no sense for resistin'. Better let a lawyer prove you're innocent! I'll answer for your safety before you come to trial. Now act sensible. Safer for you if you're put in prison! But if you're not... some bounty hunter'll kill you for the reward!
Gordon Sr.: Okay, sheriff. I'm surrenderin'.
[Pollicut gestures to the two bounty killers to kill Gordon and his wife, and they do so by shooting them]
Silence as a Boy: Ah! Dad, dad! Mama! Mama! Mama!
[as Gordon's son cries over the body of his mother, the bounty killer disguised as a sheriff enters, and throws away his star]
Fake Sheriff: Well, Pollicut? You got no call to worry about Gordon now.
Pollicut: Maybe not. But the kid...
Fake Sheriff: Nah...
[the fake sheriff pulls out a bowie knife]
Fake Sheriff: He'll never talk again.
[Match cut from candle in flashback to candle in the present: Gordon's son is Silence himself]

Character Evaluation
Klaus Kinski Violent
Klaus Kinski is known for his strong performances and violent personality on the screen, and has performed more than 180 films. His international reputation comes from the five films he collaborated with Werner Herzog , which are considered masterpieces of European cinema. But their partnership is full of violent disputes. In the process of Making Movies , some disputes were recorded or recorded, and even in a serious dispute, they threatened each other to kill each other. This obsessive love-hate relationship enabled them to reach the pinnacle of creation, but it also caused their split in 1987. Werner Herzog later published a review of cooperation with Kinsky in the United States, My Best Fried (1999).
Klaus Kinski pursues perfection
Kinsky pursues perfection in his work, but he always has disputes with his collaborators and directors. Kinsky was a neighbor of Warner Werner Herzog when he was a child. Werner Herzog recalled that Kinsky was angry next door and even destroyed everything in the room. A notorious incident was that Kinsky thought that the audience did not appreciate him enough, and threw the candlestick from the stage toward the auditorium, almost burning the theater. The other is: When filming "Scourge", because the crew couldn't stand the noise of playing cards in the cabin, they fired three shots at the cabin, shooting off the first knuckle of an extra. During the filming of " Fitcarraldo ", even the natives who performed on the spot couldn't stand Klaus Kinski's temper and suggested to Warner Werner Herzog that they should kill Klaus Kinski.
Klaus Kinski crazy
Kinsky is often referred to as a crazy genius, and Werner Herzog calls him an "extreme egoist." His behavior may come from a German theater director who was working in his early years. Some directors yelled or verbally abused during the rehearsal. For example, Karl Paryla believes that this method is to force his actors to a nervous breakdown, so that they can perform better. Fritz Kortner (Kinsky mentions this person in his autobiography) is also known for his harshness and cruelty during rehearsals.
He can speak fluent English, German, Italian and French. Coupled with his strong performance on the screen, he always has the means to get some movie roles. Although most of the finished products are considered rubbish by Kinsky (Schrott). Steven Spielberg wanted him to play the role of a Nazi villain in " Ark of the Ark ", but Kinsky refused and said: "As I think Steven Spielberg is the greatest director in the United States, this It's a stupid and bad script." He prefers to perform in Venom than this role because the price is more beautiful. He once said, "So I betrayed myself at the highest price, just like a prostitute."
