It was taken in 1988, and when I went to see it in 2016, I didn't feel bored at all, and I was very moved. As a gay, I am very envious of Arnold. There are small ordeals and great gains, but I can't see where I am. I only have to suffer day after day, so tired.

    Torch Song Trilogy quotes

    • Ma: Arnold, think about the boy. The way you live is bound to affect himmmmmm!

      Arnold: Ma, David is gay!

Ma: He hasn't even been here a year!

      Arnold: He came that way!

      Ma: Nobody COMES that way!

      Arnold: What an opening!

    • Bar Patron: Can I buy you a drink?

      Arnold: Oh, fuck off!

Arnold: [later, after coming out of the back room] At least I don't have to cook him breakfast.
