Nancy Drew: [to Mr. Biedermeyer, who is revealed to be the killer] I'm just really curious... Why did you kill Delia?
Dashiel Zachary Biedermeyer: After she gave up the baby, she went kind of crazy. She said she was gonna quit the business and run off with that caretaker! He was the father! Whatever... she was my only client. She was gonna fire me. I spent twenty years of my life building up her career! I got mad, I reacted violently. I felt kinda bad about it for a while, But I'm okay with it now...
Nancy Drew: Leshing is Jane's father. Does he know anything about the baby?
Dashiel Zachary Biedermeyer: [shouts] It doesn't matter! Now where's the will?
Nancy Drew: [seems to take out the will] It's right here.
[Suddenly, Nancy kicks Mr. Biedermeyer in a sensitive spot. He goes down as she runs away]

Nancy Drew: [about Delia] She never married and she seemed to be very private. But there must've been... must've bee a man. Someone she loved.
John Leshing: Every man who met her fell in love with her. It just couldn't be helped... I just don't know if she ever knew love herself.
