One star for Joaquin Phoenix's groundbreaking performance. The only previous knowledge of Cash was a live album recorded at Forsand Prison in 1968. The running account biopic is really nothing new, so it seems that I'm not there is a big innovation. . . The only magic is that legends like Elvis, Jerry Lee, Roy Orbison, Parl Perkins are all reappearing, albeit very rarely. The one who won the Oscar did a good job.
