Tolkien powder expressed some dissatisfaction
Generally speaking, it is a big movie without much emotional depth. The cruelty of the war and the psychological trauma it brought to Tolkien’s generation has not been reflected well, but I still like Tolkien struggling to stand up and look at the scene of the devastated battlefield. Mordor is full...

On "Tolkien"——A writer's biography
This is not a professional film review, please don't be swayed by the author's layman's point of view.

The recent British temperament film and television works have become more and more smooth and comfortable, and this work is one of them. Like other biopics in the UK, it's refined, smooth, and well told. Anyway, love it. It is worth mentioning that the performance of the behemoth of war is the language that the movie can show. I can't think of what made this biopic get a lower rating than I expected, maybe the pace is too slow and the plot is too loose? It may be a little bit, and the interspersed boyhood and war scenes may be a little loose at the beginning of the movie. Also, after reading some of the comments I'd like to say: this is Tolkien's biography, not Middle-earth. Experience shapes life. These stories, these emotions, of course have something to do with Tolkien. ?

Nic Hoult and Lily Collins are so beautiful, and their acting skills are more anxious. It feels like Li Yifeng and Angelababy played a biopic about Lu Xun and Xu Guangping. A stupid man sitting in the back of us commented loudly on the middle-earth terrier in the woman next to him, feeling that men who like this fantasy theme are not very good, life is a nerd, and he can’t wait to show off if he understands something. ?♀️
