  • Jimmy Carter (English: Jimmy Carter), formerly known as James Earl Carter (James Earl Carter), was born on October 1, 1924 in Plans, Georgia , the 39th President of the United States of America (1977-1981) , American politician and social activist. [1] 
    Carter received a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1946. In 1962, he served as a senator of Georgia and became the 76th governor of Georgia on January 12, 1971. On December 12, 1974, he participated in the Democratic presidential nomination campaign, won the Democratic Party nomination in 1976 , and was elected president on November 2 of the same year. On January 20, 1977, Carter was sworn in as the 39th President of the United States of America . [28] 
    During Carter’s presidency, his government’s important foreign policy achievements include Torrijos–Carter Treaties , Camp David Accords , Egyptian-Israeli Peace Treaty , the bilateral strategic arms limitation treaty with the Soviet Union, and the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States. Advocate for human rights all over the world. In 2002, he won the Nobel Peace Prize; Norwegian . [1]

    • Longevity record
    After the death of George Herbert Walker Bush on November 30, 2018 , Carter became the oldest living former president of the United States. On March 22, 2019, Carter surpassed the longevity record set by George Herbert Walker Bush (94 years and 171 days) and became the longest-lived President of the United States of America. 
    On October 1, 2020, Carter and his wife participated in a birthday celebration organized by the local community and church outside their home in Georgia to celebrate their 96th birthday. Carter continued to maintain the record of the oldest living president of the United States. . 
    • Simple life
    Carter and his wife live a rather simple life and have always lived in a two-bedroom farm cottage. According to statistics from the US Federal Administration of General Services, Carter is the one who has spent the least taxpayers' money among the past presidents of the United States.
    Although in poor health and advanced age, Carter is still enthusiastic about participating in community activities. He will teach in the town church every other week.

    In 2019, Carter fell three times and injured his bones. One fracture of the hip, one injury to the left eye, one fracture of the pelvis. 
    In November 2019, Carter was admitted to the hospital for brain surgery due to increased intracranial pressure due to cerebral hemorrhage.
