In 2001, Simpson and Melanie met, and they both performed in John Swithen 's crew " Stephen King's Rose Red ". Engaged in 2005 and married in a small church near Queenstown on April 14, 2007 . She applied for divorce on September 25, 2012, and the divorce was completed on May 23, 2014.
