Keaton has a precise sense of where and how the camera moves, and he's always known how to use the language of the lens to make jokes. In the paragraph where the brides go to the church, the parallel montage switches between the unknown perspective of the protagonist and the omniscient perspective of the audience. After the first bride walks into the church, the scene is always in a panoramic state. There is a strong contrast between the influx of all kinds of brides, a genius approach.
