Young Burton lacked screen charm, but he was so good-looking! The face was as solemn and noble as a statue in ancient Rome was brought to life (and the young and beautiful face was not swollen). He and Simmons are quite a match. The seemingly tough, fragile and simple temperament when young is very suitable for aristocratic ladies who are full of motherhood.
