    In 1986, he made his official debut in the showbiz due to his debut solo screen " Half Moon Street "; in 1992, he starred in the movie " New Wuthering Heights "; in 1995, he starred in the movie " Carrington "; in 2006, he starred with Bryce Dallas Howard and others The movie " As You Like It "; in 2012, he starred in the thriller movie " The Woman in Black "; in 2016, the movie " The Divergent Series: Allegiant " was released in mainland China.

    Early Experience

    On August 5, 1961, she was born in Tyne and Wear, Newcastle, England, and grew up in Yorkshire when she was 6 years old. She attended the Queen Anne Grammar School for Girls, but there were not many opportunities to learn drama. At the age of 16, she became interested in performances when she saw the performance of the York Theatre’s " request for perfection" . She worked as a waitress in the theatre. She once served a cup of coffee to Gary Oldman and he suggested that she apply for the Royal Theatre. After graduating from the Art College, she joined the Royal Exchange Theatre and started her acting career   .

    In 1992, she played the second female Alan Dean in the movie " New Wuthering Heights " starring Ralph Fiennes .
    In 1995, in the movie " Carrington " starring Emma Thompson , she played the female number three Vanessa Bell.
    In 1999, she played the leading role in the film "Dandelion" for the first time, Mary Joe Walker. With this film, she won the nomination for the 72nd Oscars Best Actress in 2000 and the 57th American Golden Globe Award in 2000. Best Actress in a Movie, Musical Comedy.
    In 2005, played the supporting role Dell in the movie " Tideland " starring Jeff Bridges .
    In 2009, in the movie " Into the Storm " starring Brendan Gleeson , she played the female No. 1 Clemy Churchill. With this film, she wonLimited drama/TV movie category-Miniseries/TV movie best actress nominated, the 67th American Golden Globe Awards nominated for best supporting actress in TV category.
    In 2011, with the movie " Albert Nobbs ", she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the 84th Academy Awards and nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Film at the 69th American Golden Globe Awards.
    In 2012, she played Mrs. Daly in the movie " The Woman in Black " starring Daniel Jacob Radcliffe .
