    His most famous role was in the TV series "Dynasty" which replaced Al Corley in the 1980s. [1] 

    Early Experience

    Jack Derrick Coleman was born in Astun, Pennsylvania, USA, and is the sixth generation descendant of the famous American inventor Benjamin Franklin . He married actress Beth Toussaint in 1996 and has a daughter. His wife Beth Toussaint is also an actor. Appeared in "Babylon 5" and "Dallas".
    Jack Derrick Coleman is the youngest of seven children in the family. In 1980, he graduated from Duke University .

    Performing Experience

    After graduating from university, he entered NTI again. He once edited and directed the short film Studio City (2003). He also won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the stage play "Bouncers."
    His most famous role was to replace Al Corley in the TV series "Dynasty" in 1980 . Also, he played Noah Bennent in the popular TV series " Heroes " before 2011 . "The Vampire Diaries" played Bill in the third season.
    Derrick Coleman first appeared on the TV screen as Jake Kositchek in the 1981-1982 TV series "Days of our lives". In 1982, he joined the " Dynasty " crew and took over the role played by Al Corley in the play. This was his first gay role, and Derrick Coleman played this role until 1988.
    When he was studying at Duke University, he decided to follow his acting career in the future. After graduating from university in 1980, he joined the National Theatre Association. In 1980, he graduated from DukeUniversity (founded in 1836, one of the most famous private universities in the United States). During college, he majored in acting and received a bachelor's degree. After graduating from university, he entered NTI (National Theater Institute, a famous performance training school founded in 1964) for further studies. Derrick Coleman is an all-rounder, in addition to an actor, he also writes the script himself. He has written, directed and acted in the short film StudioCity (2003).
    Although Jack Derrick Coleman was only a guest star in the original cast list of "Heroes" , he was actually one of the stars who made the most appearances in the "Heroes" promotion. Jack Derrick Coleman usually wears contact lenses. He admits that the iconic rimmed glasses he wore in "Heroes" made him suffer during shooting. In order to maintain the mystery of his role in "Heroes", he never reveals his role in interviews. For the same reason, he often secretly visits the "Heroes" website to observe and understand fans' comments on the characters.
