Hope Davis was born on March 23, 1964 in Englewood, New Jersey, USA, and grew up in nearby Tenafly. She is the second of three children in the family. Her father is an engineer and her mother is a school librarian. Hope Davis and Mira Katherine Davis Sorvino were childhood friends.
Hope Davis married Ford Evanson in 1987, divorced in 1996, and later married actor Jon Patrick Walker, and gave birth to daughter Georgia on August 31, 2002, and daughter Mae on December 30, 2004.
