Early Experience
Born in Massachusetts , his mother Kristin Linklater is a well-known drama professor at Columbia University in the City of New York , originally from Scotland. Because he was raised by a single mother, Hamish adopted his mother's surname.
Performing Experience
Since the age of 8 he has played a role in Shakespeare's plays in the drama group under the group company founded by his mother. Later, he studied at Commonwealth School and Amherst College respectively.
From 2006 to 2010, he starred in the American sitcom " The New Adventures of Old Christine " and played the role of the cute little brother Matthew.
In 2013, starred in the sports biographical film " 42 " directed by Brian Thomas Helgeland , as Ralph Branca.
In 2015, starred in the biographical drama " The Big Short ".
