    He has starred in the movies " For a Few Dollars More ", " Le cercle rouge ", " A Fistful Of Dollars ", " Il caso Mattei " and so on. In 1983, he won the Cannes actor with the French film "Mort de Mario Ricci, La", and in 1987 he won the Berlin actor with the Italian film "Il caso Moro".
    In 1991, the Venetian filmmakers awarded Volante the Lifetime Achievement Award. Unfortunately, three years later, he died of a heart attack when he was shooting the film " Ulysses' Gaze " in Greece at the age of 61.
