    Early Experience

    Gene Wilder, formerly known as Jerome Silberman (Jerome Silberman) , was born on June 11, 1933 in a family of ordinary blue-collar workers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. His parents were Russian Jewish immigrants. His mother was suffering from a heart attack. When he was 8 years old, because his mother’s doctor said, “Try to make her smile more”, Little Siberman started his “acting career”. Since then, acting has changed from "task" to his hobby. He started to study with his sister's teacher at the age of 13, made his first stage at the age of 15, and then entered the University of Iowa to receive academic education and participate in summer theater troupe performances. After only six months of studying, he became the first freshman to win all the fencing champions in the school.
