The male servant fell in love with the male master, the female master fell in love with the male servant, the female master killed the male master for love, and the male servant died for love. Less Hitchcockian, but not so ugly either. Personally, I still like courtroom dramas and feel the judicial system of the British Empire. The flaw in the plot is that the male protagonist's court performance is too unprofessional and emotional, not like a senior lawyer at all. Charles Laughton played the judge again, and he played it perfectly. In the end, the chicken soup from the lawyer's wife was disgusting.

The plot is boring and the theme is unknown :(

    The Paradine Case quotes

    • Gay Keane: Well, nice people don't go murdering other nice people.

    • Sir Joseph, Counsel for the Prosecution: She had patience. She could wait. This was, indeed, no ordinary woman.
