Edward Arnold, born on February 18, 1890 in New York City, is a German-American film and theater actor

. He appeared on stage in New York in the early 1920s and performed " The Merchant of Venice ". In 1907, he co-starred with the famous actress Esser Barrymore in " A Midsummer Night's Dream ". Entered the film industry in 1915, and made more than fifty western action films at the Chicago-based Isaiah Film Company. He returned to the stage in 1919, and returned to the film industry after the arrival of sound movies in 1932. After years of hard work, he finally became one of Hollywood's famous character actors in the 1930s and 1940s. He has performed in about 150 films. .
