    Early Experience

    Dean was born on July 31, 1966 in Mt. Clemins, Michigan. The parents are Christopher Cain and Sharon Thomas. Dean's biological father, George Tanaka, left his mother and brother Roger before Dean was born. Dean has never or ever wanted to meet his biological father. In his eyes, only the person who raised him and gave him a name can be called a father.
    In 1984, Dean received a scholarship from Princeton University. He was very good in sports and was elected to the Buffalo Bills four years later. Unfortunately, he never played; Dean broke his knee before he could play for a season. The doctor told him that if he wanted to play basketball with his children at the age of 40, he had to give up what he loved. Sports. So Dean turned to acting.
