    On August 15, 1962, he was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, grew up in the Bronx, New York, served in the United States Air Force, and worked as a beat cop in Times Square of the New York Police Department   .

    In 1995, he starred in his first TV series " Law & Order " and played the supporting role McGinty in the third episode of the sixth season   .
    In 1998, he starred in his first movie " OK Garage " and played the supporting role Omar in the film   ; in the same year, he played the supporting role Osborn in the feature film " Rounders " starring Matt Damon and Edward Harrison Norton . 
    In 1999, in the drama " Bringing Out the Dead " starring Nicolas Kim Coppola , he played a small role as a policeman in an elevator .
