It may be that Preminger is too concerned about the struggle with PCA, and the film obviously leans too much towards Sinatra's "true" performance, while neglecting to make room for other people in the whirlpool. Especially Eleanor Parker, a princess born to destroy men, turned Preminger into a frightened cat. Fortunately, she finally got a chance. The bad thing is that the noir part is already over.

Probably the best soundtrack in the 1950s, Preminger really likes to tell sick stories in a closed space, and the setting of the replacement of the attributes of the two female characters is wonderful. I didn't expect the first drug-related film to have such a scale. It's probably the privilege of the late code.
