Whether rational or emotional, a happy ending is king?
Eleanor: Rational, immersed in emotions, waiting for a rupture to vent. Eleanor is ok, Marianne is too rough like a big aunt, and a failure. The lack of bright spots in the flat and straightforward narrative can be regarded as quite satisfactory. In contrast, I prefer Ang Lee's version.

On the narrative technique: the first third of the 2008 edition lost to the 1995 edition, especially the story of the two sisters Marian and Eleanor, but the details of the former are brilliant; on the role: Willoughby in the 08 edition turned out to be a bean No. 2, mourning! The two versions of Eleanor are inseparable, but the Marianne 08 version wins. PS The cottage by the sea in Devon is my ideal interpretation of the English countryside. And, as always, love drops Dan!
