In the supporting roles, Halle (the first film) and the director (a rare Cannes male supporting role) performed very well. Turturro, the three fathers, and even several best friends of the male protagonist's wife were better than the two leading actors. The Taj Mahal drug lair with Livin' for the City has a strong impact, the rotating shots of the partners negotiating, and two "walks" on the conveyor belt.
