  • The full name is Benjamin Joseph Manaly Novak, but people prefer to call him BJ Novak. He is a scenario comedy playwright and actor. In the NBC series "The Office", he played the role of Ryan Howard and also served as the script and producer of the show. Novak grew up in Newton, a small city near Boston , Massachusetts . He graduated from Newton South High School with another actor in the play, John Krasinski, and then he entered Harvard university , majoring in English and Spanish literature . After graduating from university in 2001, Novak moved to Los Angeles and joined a comedy club. In October 2001, he made his debut on stage and participated in a live melodrama hosted by the Los Angeles Youth Club. He quickly became the mainstay of the Comedy Club and was elected as the "10 Most Popular Comedy Actors" in 2003. After that, he participated in the drama series remium Blend and Late Night with Conan O'Brien filmed by the Comedy Center. Novak also participated in the whole-man show on MTV TV in the United States.
