Mickey 'Bricks' Stone: Albert, what the hell were you doing in a church today?
Albert Stroller: Gil Stewart died this afternoon. I was there at the end.
Mickey 'Bricks' Stone: Oh God, I'm so sorry Albert. You two were like brothers.
Albert Stroller: We worked Vegas together. That man was made for bright lights. Poor bastard - died of a stroke in a dental surgery.
Mickey 'Bricks' Stone: Well, someone should sue them.
Albert Stroller: Aye, he was pretending to be the dentist.

Mickey 'Bricks' Stone: [repeated line, by various characters] You can't con an honest man.
Bill Bailey
Bill Bailey (Bill Bailey) is a one-man comedian, musician and film and television actor. He was born on January 13, 1965 in Bath, Somerset, Southwest England. His main works are " Black Books 3 " and "Have I Got News for You". "Wait.
Early Experience
Bailey spent most of his childhood in Keynsham, a small town in the west of England between Bath and Bristol. His father is a general practitioner, and his mother is a hospital bed guardian. His grandmother and grandfather, who was a stonemason and an architect, lived in two rooms behind his father's clinic.
Bailey graduated from a private school in Bath-King Edward's School. He won many awards in various competitions there. However, when he was 15 years old, he joined a band called Behind Closed Doors. The band basically played something original. The intense excitement during the performance made him bored with learning. And he was the only student in his school who had achieved A level in music and passed the A qualification exam. What surprised the teachers again and again is that Bailey also has excellent results in sports. He was the captain of the KES 2nd XI cricket team in 1982. I often participate in long-term vocal training after the end of rugby sports, which perfectly combines the two sports music. It was during the period of vocal study that his tutor Ian Phipps named him Bill. Just so that he can better play the song "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey" on the guitar.
Bailey later began to take an English degree at Westfield College. In the early days, I listened to many Monty Python (British comedy group) works, and unexpectedly became a member of a group called "Famous Five" with only 4 members. He admitted that it was bad at the time but he is still improving. On the other hand, Bailey's accomplishments in classical music have also been recognized by the London School of Music, and he has become an honorary member of the community funeral home as an organist. In any case, he said that he would love music madly from beginning to end, and music has become a highlight of his personal one-man comedy.
Bailey has incorporated many myths in his early one-man comedies. In his Bewilderness Show, he mentioned that he had attended Bovington Gurney School art performances and owl protection activities. He also talked about many of his jobs before becoming a comedian, including the bar The Pianist , funeral home organist, door-to-door salesman and being a clubDog accompaniment. Bailey once pretended to be a Stoutland in Roome 101 (TVShow in the UK) . He also sneered at his appearance, saying that he would be reminiscent of hairy monsters or ogres, because that kind of hair + beard, it felt like a dog named Lionel, and it was very, very obedient.
Bailey also talked about his role as a "deprived owl" in the'ywysogaeth Cymru Art Troupe (mentioned in an interview with an Australian newspaper). Other roles he has played include "Print Workers" on the stage of the Workers' Revolutionary Party ( a small revolutionary communist group active in the Northern Ireland Autonomous Region in the mid-1980s ). There are also beautiful actresses on the same stage. Vanessa Redgrave and Frances de la Tour. You will also see him on IMDb who won the French Academy Award for Best Actor in 1986.
As an avid [Star Trek] fan, he actually used the character Dax in [Star Trek: Deep Space 9] to name his son (born in 2003), and often said he was a Klingon. Baily currently lives in Hammersmithand, London, and is a supporter of the Queens Park Rangers FC (supports Queens Park Rangers FC).
Performing Experience
Early one-man comedy
Bailey and other comedians started their national tour like Mark Lamarr (British comedian). In 1986, he and Toby Longworth (B's original classmate) began a duo performance with sarcasm and sarcasm. In 1988, Martin Stubbs replaced Toby. They have a good reputation in the club entertainment industry, and arrange their performances on the official schedule-occasionally there will be some night recitals and the like. This has laid Bill for his unique characteristic performance path, bringing music and funny one-man performances together The way of combining subverts the traditional way of comedy in people's minds. After he cites folklore to perform, some critics immediately said that his lines were empty and jokes too little. So Bill began to study a complete set of comedy lines of his own.
In 1994, Bailey and Sean Lock also performed rock and roll together at the Edinburgh Art Festival . This show was about the story of the rock singer and his manager. The script was written by Jim Miller. It was later broadcast on BBC Radio 1 as a series of Mark Radcliffe. However, the radio did not impress people. At one time, the only audience was comedian Dominic Holland. Bailey also broke the news that he almost gave up his telemarketing job during an interview with The Independent (a British newspaper).
He kept insisting, anyway, he co-starred in "Bill Bailey's Cosmic Jam" the following year. The show was a big success at the Bloomsbury Theatre. In 1996, there was a one-hour special performance by Bailey on Channel 4 called "Bill Bailey Live". This is the most primitive form of the program that has not been cut before the DVD was released in 2005. It also marked the first time that Baily was able to integrate his musical charm and funny style into a whole. It became a school of its own and won the recognition and applause of the audience. In 1999, Bailey won the British Comedy Award for Best Single-Actor Comedy.
TV works
Although he did not win the Perrier Award in 1996, the nomination was enough to get him fired by his boss. In 1998, the BBC gave him his own SHOW: Is It Bill Bailey? (This is not Bailey’s first time on TV. He first appeared on the silver screen in a children’s TV show in 1980, as a dog Accompaniment.)
As a rising star, Baily will appear as a guest guest on many good shows in the next few years and appear frequently in public places. For example: Have I Got News For You, World Cup Comedy, Room 101, Des O'Connor Tonight, Coast to Coast and off-beat Channel 4 sitcoms in the third episode, in which he plays comic shop manager Bilbo Bagshot.
In 1998, Dylan Moran found him and introduced him to the [Black Books] ( Black Books 3 ) crew. This is an experimental sitcom on Channel 4, about a grumpy bookstore owner and his neurotic friends. The show aired in 2000. Bailey played the bookstore owner's assistant Manny Bianco, Moran played the owner Bernard, and their friend Tamsin Greig played Fran. This drama has three seasons, 6 episodes per season, and it is a drama that contains a lot of Black comedy elements. In 2001, Bailey had become a well-known figure and began planning a grand tour.
In 2002, after Sean Hughes left the show Never Mind the Buzzcocks (popular music-based comedy competition) he had been hosting, Bailey took over it, and his style quickly merged with it. During the 2009 tour, Bailey joked that the main reason he left the show was to continue humming Britney 's [Toxic]. Since 2003, Bailey has often appeared in someIn the show. On October 15, 2006, it also appeared in Channel 4's "Wild Thing I Love You" program. The focus of the series is to protect British wildlife, including badgers, owls, and water voles.
Bailey also played Maxxie's father Walter Oliver in [Skins]. In 2009, Bailey made a guest appearance in the "Cyclops" on the BBC show "Hustle". In the fall of 2009, he will appear in "Bill Bailey's Big Bird Watch".
other works
Let me just pick the key points. Bill Bailey should have appeared in the movie [Shaun of the Dead] ( Shaun of the Dead ), but in the commentary attached to the DVD, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright said that because Bailey was too busy to participate in this movie. But he appeared as a cameo in the 2007 black action comedy [HotFuzz] ( Blue Fury ).
Music career
Bailey is a genius The Pianist and guitarist, and he has super perfect pitch discrimination ability. His one-man comedy is characterized by the integration of music, such as Jazz , RockMusic (early 70s), drum'n'bass, wild and classical. Favorite musical instruments include keyboard, guitar, taylor, kazoo and bongo drum. He also mentioned in an interview that he had obtained a grade 6 certificate for clarinet. Bailey is also a member of the punk band Beergut 100. In 1995, he was excavated by comedy writer Jim Miller, handsome guys Martin Trenaman and Phil Whelans. This band performed at the 2006 Edinburgh Art Festival .
In February 2007, Bailey attended the BBC Orchestra Concert twice. On February 24, at the Colosseum in Rome, on February 26 at the Queen Elizabeth Concert Hall. The performance includes an orchestra accompaniment version and music previously performed by Bailey. He plans to submit a draft of "British Eurovision" in 2008, in order to satisfy the wishes of fans. In October 2008, he collaborated with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and performed "Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide" at the Royal Albert Hall. In November 2009, he attended "Private Passions" as a guest (BBC Radio3's weekend talk music program)
Global tour
In 2001, Bailey began a global tour with Bewilderness, which was a huge success. In the same year, the concert DVD was released in Swansea, and the entire show was broadcast on Channel 4 at Christmas. Another edited version was also successful in the United States, and a CD recorded at the WestBeth Theater in New York was released in 2002. It contains all his featured shows, pop music parody and re-edited TV theme songs like "Countdown" and "The Magic Roundabout". The CD "Bewilderness" is not on sale at concerts. It is actually just based on some mixed music as a background, plus a large number of lines from the comedies that Bailey has performed in the past-it was later sold as a classic of Bill Bailey: Forever The Ultimate Collection !
