      about those bright

I finally finished watching Van Gogh. I feel that Van Gogh is too intense. I am sincere, kind, irritable, upright, stubborn, and quiet. Except for

stupidity, every feature of his is so bright

Disregarding his own hopes, his hopes for life, family, friends, and love, so that he can burn himself

      This...

      like the sun

Many times when we watch biographical films, we are deeply immersed in them because of the strong reverence, admiration, and motivation for the characters. Because I know the life of the protagonist very well, the life experiences and encounters shown in the film, the encounters, the final ending,...

The life of a genius is a life of misery. Character determines destiny. Van Gogh is passionate and persistent, and he is so passionate about his beliefs and career that he releases huge energy. Seeing him and Gauguin for a period of time feels very sad. If Gauguin's character It's not so conflicted, maybe the result will be better, but it can't be assumed that this kind of thing is really hard to control the loneliness of living outside the crowd. I saw it in the end of the celebration when I saw it.

After reading the original book, two hours are too short, so it is very running. The gloomy, lonely and somewhat neurotic Van Gogh is not in the movie at all.

    Lust for Life quotes

    • Theo Van Gogh: Vincent, uh... it's all good, all of it. The important thing is that one day it could be... *sublime*. Well between then and now, there's one thing you can do for me, a little thing is all I ask: let me get a night's sleep.

[turns and heads to bed as the scene fades out]

    • Paul Gauguin: How long have you been in Paris?

Vincent Van Gogh: Over a year.

Paul Gauguin: How can you stand it? I can't work here. It *strangles* me.

Vincent Van Gogh: But where would you go?

Paul Gauguin: Brittany. There's a place up there I can stay. It's just a hole, but it's all I can afford.

Vincent Van Gogh: Wouldn't you miss your friends in Paris?

Paul Gauguin: Friends? A woman or two maybe. When you start as late as I did you find yourself measuing who and what you give your time to. Friends, comforts, family - if they interfere with your peace to work you cut them off. And you spend the rest of your life wondering if it was worthwhile.
