Why wasn't this book taken in the 1970s?

I don't like this kind of films very much. The things they talk about can be very in-depth but they are not explained in a good way. The whole becomes very messy and meaningless. The most interesting shot is probably the women picking up knives and attacking, but layers of kaleidoscopes are reflected there.
