Akiko Wakabayashi has co-starred in many Godzilla movies with Ishirō Honda , and eventually became a Bond girl in "You Only Live Twice", thanks to her English proficiency to a large extent. In the original plan, Akiko Wakabayashi's role was supposed to be Brigitte Bardot 's, but due to the latter's poor English, the two eventually switched roles.
Although the agile female agent created by Akiko Wakabayashi left a deep impression on the audience, unfortunately, due to the decline of the entire Japanese film industry in the 1970s, after participating in 007, Akiko Wakabayashi basically withdrew from the film industry.

[Series Completion Plan] "007 Five: Thunder Valley"

This is a very interesting episode of 007. There are many things to watch, including the first appearance of the leader of the "Devil Party". And Bond moved to Japan, which also brought the collision of Eastern and Western cultures, which was very interesting.

At the beginning of the film,...

      Preview <Space Odyssey>

I personally like this "Thunder Valley", which is considered to be a better state film by Connery. Although the introduction of the film and the image of the top leaders of the United States and the Soviet Union are too facial, it does not prevent Lewis Gilbert from carefully crafting...

Sean Connery's last 007, the spaceship is too fake, the story of the nuclear war caused by the space arms race is also very fake, in addition, the leader of the devil party has run away, and the Japanese spy on the island is very good like a half-breed. The toy in this episode is a light one-man helicopter with an infrared-guided air-to-air missile

@filmoteca #罗达达 Centennial# The repair is so well done and it's in the original proportions, which is quite touching. But this plot is just too ridiculous, the Japanese part is really embarrassing to explode every minute and every second, a complete collection of stereotypes. The fight scene at the end feels like I'm slowing down and seeing sleep...

    You Only Live Twice quotes

    • Tiger Tanaka: [discussing Osato Chemicals' supertanker, the Ning-Po, which is known to be smuggling rocket fuel] We shadowed the Ning-Po to the outer islands.

Aki: It was very dark. Hard to see her all the time.

Tiger Tanaka: But we know she stopped somewhere. Look at these photos.

[Tiger hands James photos of the Ning-Po]

Aki: Look at the water line.

James Bond: [noticing the higher water line of the ship in seperate photos] You're right. Fully laden here, and empty here.

James Bond: [getting up] I want to take a look at the island now. Is Little Nellie here?

Tiger Tanaka: Yes. And her father.

[James, Aki, and Tiger enter a nearby garage where an agitated and sweating Q is waiting]

James Bond: [sarcastically] Welcome to Japan, Dad. Is my little girl hot and ready?

Q: [annoyed] Look, 007, I've had a long and tiring journey, probably to no purpose, and I'm in no mood for your juvenile quips.

    • M: [buzzing intercom] Miss Moneypenny, give 007 the password we've agreed with Japanese S.I.S.

      MoneyPenny: Yes sir.

      [to Bond]

MoneyPenny: We tried to think of something that you wouldn't forget.

      James Bond: Yes?

MoneyPenny: "I, love, you". Repeat it please, to make sure you get it

James Bond: Don't worry, I get it.
