Richard III reviews
"Richard III" is a drama, war film directed by Richard Loncraine, starring Ian McKellen, Annette Bening, etc. The film was released on August 20, 1995. The film is based on William Shakespeare 's famous play "Richard III", but the film changes the time background of the story from 1483-1485 in the original book to 1930. Transplanting William Shakespeare's plays to other eras is something filmmakers often do, but it doesn't always work well. It is commendable that this version of "Richard III" not only adapts the play with Ruizhe's intelligence, but also injects modern vitality into the play without destroying the beautiful words of William Shakespeare .
