"Z for Zachariah" is a film about ideas, but those ideas never overpower the person it's meant to express, and the two complement each other to make this one of the most satisfying films of 2015, Tim O. Er's stunning photography technology, let the audience know at a glance. Heather McIntosh's soundtrack, full of fear and tension on the violin, heightens the considerable tension more than what audiences might expect from a movie with basically three people talking   .
Z for Zachariah is a well-crafted, precise, yet sensational, triangular drama, directed by director Craig Zobel, which is more psychologically rich than the original. The film is slow-paced and spends most of its time building things, creating designs for life. Although the plot stalls about two-thirds of the way through the book, the abrupt ending is a killer one that leaves viewers horrified   .
