The story of the film is a bit like Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, but it does not focus on love lines, but aims to promote feminist ideas; the film’s handling of songs has completely got rid of the traditional "stop the show and sing" method, and the songs have appeared. Very natural, like a dramatic monologue that comes naturally. The film is very delicate in these aspects, in addition to the protagonist’s Electra complex. The film's photography simulates the style of Rembrandt's paintings, Streisand's acting skills and singing skills are excellent, and the songs play an excellent role in psychological description.
