Wuthering Heights positive review

"Wuthering Heights" is a classic adaptation of classic works. The film has the delicate and unique perspective of a female director. Director Dawn Lodge blends independent and changeable styles into the film. The tone of the film and the scheduling of the shots have merits. The director successfully presented the vastness and desolation of the North Yorkshire region of England under the lens, which looked rough and textured.
Both the atmosphere and the theme of the film are marked with the director's distinctive personal brand. The delicacy of the lens, the meticulous sensibility of the atmosphere and the vivid portrayal of the characters are all worthy of recognition in the film. Although the film omits the theme of revenge in the original novel, it does not deviate from the spiritual soul in the original novel. In the poetic natural scenery of the film, the passion of love in the original work and the cold and mysterious of the villa were successfully captured by the director.
"Wuthering Heights" embodies the spirit of independent innovation. Director Dawn Lodge gave up a lot of dialogue and instead used straightforward and vivid images to portray characters and present relationships. The close-ups of animals and plants, the panoramic view of the environment, the various relationships and arrangements between nature and people in the film all reflect the director's strong personal consciousness and style. From the film, you can see the gloomy soil, the violent rain, and the heavy dust in the sun. These elements have never been separated from the main body of the narrative, and the feeling is strengthened and there is no chaotic structure. This is commendable in the works of female directors   . In the second half of the film, many flashback shots are used as the emotional response of the characters. This approach is innovative and impressive.
