In the 19th century, on the edge of a gloomy moor in Yorkshire, England, a gypsy boy named Heathcliff was brought to Wuthering Heights by Mr. Dean. He is loved by the master's daughter, Kathy, but while Kathy loves him, she can't refuse her desire to live a prosperous life, and it is Kathy's neighbor Edgar Linton who can provide this kind of living conditions. Heathcliff learned of this by accident and left quietly. Kathy married Linton in a sad mood.
A few years later, Heathcliff returned with a graceful presence. Linton's sister, Ibera, fell in love with Heathcliff. Not only did Heathcliff buy Wuthering Heights, but he also married Isabella. After marriage, Heathcliff's indifference quickly withered Isabella, and Kathy was on the verge of death due to excessive grief. Heathcliff came to Kathy as she was dying, and held her to the window to look out at the rock that had been their "castle" in childhood. Kathy said she waited for their reunion and then died. A distraught Heathcliff spends 20 years mourning Casey, expecting his death. He was extremely contemptuous and tortured to all around him, until Kathy's ghost summoned him to their favorite wasteland on a snowy winter night   .

I have always been reluctant to open the Wuthering Heights movie, and the storytelling of Jane Eyre is really difficult to make. The result is okay, although the last third of the original work has been deleted. Beautified by the heroine, a generation of black-haired mixed-race girls in Hollywood, three ex-husbands, some gossip is omitted here. The temperament is relatively hardcore, and I plan to continue to follow her roles as Anne Boleyn and George Sand.

    This is so gothic...

Wuthering Heights quotes

  • Heathcliff: I want to crawl to her feet, whimper to be forgiven... for loving me. For needing her more than my own life... for belonging to her more than my own soul.

  • Hindley: If she's run off with that gypsy scum, let her run. Let her run through storm and Hell. They're birds of a feather and the Devil can take them both. Now, get me a bottle.
