3.5. The (old) Hollywood police and bandits structure is no more than a framework, which is treated as a binary confrontation between film noir and country film. The director showed more attention to the traditional daily life, so that most of the time, time and space were emptied. It can be 1940s, 1840s. However, it handles the ending of Act 3 and beyond with an extremely cold feeling. Peterwell is so horse-like in the light and Melville in the dark.

2022.0.12 The face value is very high, the scenery is beautiful, the Amish community is a paradise! However, the rhythm of the film itself is slow, and from the current point of view, it is really difficult to call it a good film.
