● The film is Korea's first costume action film based on bows and arrows.
● The historical materials referenced in the film are mostly from Luo Wanjia (1592-1642)'s "Bingzilu" and some of Ding Ruoyong's works. In order to stay close to Qing history, the crew also made special reference to a large number of Chinese Qing palace operas.
● More than 400 horses were used in the film, and 50 war horses were used at the same time for the biggest shot.
● The film was pre-sold at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, and the copyrights of the UK, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Indonesia and other countries were sold.
● The film was filmed all over Korea, from Saga Mountain in Seoul to Wanju County in Jeolla Province, and the finishing work ended in the coastal sand dunes of Sindo-ri, Taean. During the filming process, the Tai'an City Government, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Maritime Affairs, and regional environmental organizations were mobilized, especially the Department of Cultural Heritage, to give special assistance to make the filming work smoothly. In order to get closer to the real history, the crew also went to China for filming and received strong support from the local authorities.
● The film was renamed "Sacred Bow" when it was released in Japan.
● The script of the film is still in the drafting stage, and the director Han-minKim decided that the actor should not be Park hae il.
● This film is Park hae il's first historical drama challenge.
● This film is Moon Chae Won’s second filming after "The ET Teacher in Our School". In February 2011, he went to the Korean Archery Club to receive strict guidance to learn archery. Later, he learned to receive professional equestrianism while crying. The coach's rigorous riding skills and sword-holding skills, as well as learning to speak Manchurian dialect, resulted in cocoons on his hands and feet, and the person became noticeably thin and strong.
● The film is the first screen work of Japanese artist Otani Yoshihiko.
