Jet Li's latest Hollywood work, except for the few fighting scenes that can be watched, the other parts are horrible, the screenwriter is lackluster, and the narrative is illogical. At the end of the film, some directors prepared an "unexpected surprise", which was finally reduced to chewing. The tasteless chicken ribs! The biggest failure is the wasting of Jet Li. The director tossed about just pretending to be cool and superficial.
At the end of the movie, "explained" Zhang Che's initial rule that David Jiang could only laugh once in ten minutes, because if it were all like "War", we might be able to step on one more banana peel, but one less Ah Zun.
"War" is only a third-rate movie. Jet Li doesn't have to wonder why the mainland refused to introduce this movie because it is so ordinary. Even though his performance is very hard, he cannot change the overall low level of the movie. "War" seems to be a bad film at any time.
The handling of the fighting scenes is wonderful, but it's not enough. Both Jason Statham and Jet Li worked with Yuan Kui. The two stars were playing together. The scene should be intense, but the film only showed Jason Statham's skills in some paragraphs, and Jet Li's fight with him was only in the ending credits. Those few minutes were not addictive.
