Today, when the world woke up from its sleep, huge alien spaceships appeared above every big city. The alien visitors claimed that they came for peace and generously gifted the Earth with advanced technology and medical technology beyond human imagination. They promised not to harm humans, but they lied.
The vast majority of humans believe the words of aliens, and they believe that aliens appear in time when humans need help the most, out of goodwill. Human beings warmly welcome them, embrace them, and happily "accept" the "gifts" they selflessly provide. Who knows, behind the brilliant smiling faces of aliens, there is a murderous intent. Department of Homeland Security agent Erica Evans (played by Elizabeth Mitchell) stumbled upon this appalling secret while tracking down a group of terrorists. When Erica's partner Dale (Alan Tudyk) wanted to kill her, Erica realized that the aliens had penetrated into the government and important commercial fields of mankind, and they were about to launch a full-scale conquest of mankind.
It is impossible for everyone to understand the truth, because alien visitors have two extremely powerful "weapons". First of all, they launched a powerful propaganda offensive to make mankind have absolute confidence in their "goodwill." Especially the alien leader Anna (played by Morena Baccarin) posing as a beautiful human woman, and the famous reporter and show host Chad Decker (played by Scott Wolf) is always on the sidelines, making people even more unsuspecting. Secondly, they are good at using the younger generation of mankind. Thousands of teenagers, including Erica's son Tyler (played by Logan Huffman), were bewitched by aliens to join the ranks of "peace ambassadors", and became the eyeliners of aliens in humans without their knowledge.
Seeing that the earth is about to fall completely, Erica has lobbied people everywhere to believe what she saw with her own eyes, but it didn't work. She began to secretly approach the "Anti-Alien Resistance Movement" previously considered a "terrorist organization", and met Father Jack (Joel Gretsch), the leader of the resistance movement, and a young man named Ryan (Morris Chestnut). Ryan is also an alien, but he firmly believes that he should help and save mankind and fight against the evil mother.
Pro-alien "fallen humans" and aliens who pretend to be humans are everywhere. Erica can only move in secret and pay attention everywhere. At the same time, she must do her job well as usual and protect her son from alien thoughts. For Erica, this is simply an "impossible task."
