The story takes place in a small town called Chester Mill. An indestructible "dome" that falls from the sky cuts off all connections between the town and the outside world, and at the same time ends the illusion of peace that the town has maintained for many years. Soon, the residents of the small town saw the reality that they have become the "turtle in the urn", and with the continuous consumption of resources, chaos inevitably occurred. After the accidental death of the old sheriff, the burden of maintaining the security of the town fell on the shoulders of the young deputy sheriff Linda, and Congressman Big Jimsaw it as the "ruler". Great opportunity. We saw other roles in the chaos: waitresses in restaurants, college dropouts, staff at local radio stations, and some high school kids. Interestingly, broadcast signals can still be transmitted inside the dome. Some strange symptoms appeared on the four children in Mill Town. In the woods, they found a small dome and became its protector, because the dome seemed to convey certain messages to them.
