A narrator dressed in traditional Texas clothing and driving a red convertible came to the town of Virgil. He wandered around the town, and he enthusiastically recorded the local architecture and customs with a camera. He met some strange people: computer people, lying women, smart women, lazy women, etc. These people were beyond his imagination and were incomprehensible. The civic leader Earl Culver was respected, and he invited the narrator to his home for dinner, and during the banquet he delivered a strange and strange talk. The narrator had a lot of fun from what he saw and heard, and photographed these things with a camera. In the camera, he constantly explained how convenient the department store is, how efficient the highway is, and most importantly, how interesting the people in Virgil are. He even satirized himself humorously, saying that he liked something that didn't catch a cold before: "I actually don't like traveling, but this trip is different."
