Transformers: Dark of the Moon Accident

2021-10-18 09:27
On September 2, 2010, the filming of Hammond, Indiana was temporarily postponed. An extra named Gabriella Cedillo was seriously injured during a stunt performance. The wire rope accidentally caused by the towing car broke due to a welding failure, just hitting the vehicle during the performance, causing its skull to be injured. She must perform brain surgery. This injury left her with permanent brain damage, paralyzed her left half and closed her left eye. Paramount promised to be responsible for the accident and to bear all Cedillo's medical expenses. Nevertheless, on October 5, Cedillo's family still filed a lawsuit, citing seven negligences against Paramount and several other defendants (not including director Michael Bay), all of which demanded more than $350,000 in damages.
On October 11, 2010, while filming the chase scene on Maryland Avenue and Third Street, the K9 unit of the Washington Police Department crashed into the Bumblebee Camaro sports car in the scene. The two drivers were unharmed, but the Hornet was seriously damaged.
