Before the outbreak of World War II, Tony's father, Saburo Takiya, was forced to leave his hometown and travel to China because of some minor troubles. Soon, Japan invaded China in an all-round way, and then attacked Pearl Harbor at the end of 1941. Because of the ambitions of Japanese fascist militarism, the whole of Asia was deeply mired in the quagmire of World War II.
In these war-torn and turbulent times, Saburo Takiya lives a life of insensitivity in a nightclub in Shanghai, playing the trombone for a living. At the Battle of Midway, the United States dropped two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The changes in the outside world seemed to have nothing to do with him, and the "darkness" life in the nightclub made him lose weight sharply day by day. It was not until the spring of 1947 that he finally returned to Japan, bid farewell to the mainland where he had lived for nearly 6 years, returned to the long-lost archipelago, and got married the second year after returning to China.
However, the happy life did not stop for too long in Takiya's rough life. His wife passed away on the third day after giving birth to their son Tony, leaving behind the infant Tony. Facing the sudden bad news, Takiya was caught off guard, and after a short cremation ceremony, the warm body that his wife was familiar with was gone.
Tony spent a lonely childhood under the support of his father who was almost indifferent to the world. Finally, time flies, and after more than ten years of "torture", Tony finally entered the University of Fine Arts and ushered in his college life. Since then, Tony began to learn the "art" that was almost unattainable to him, and his life has changed since then.
In terms of painting, Tony has an amazing talent - he is very handy and skillful in copying works and sketching scenes from life, and he can easily reproduce the things in front of him on paper perfectly by means of a brush. However, an unintentional remark made by a female classmate once again affected his artistic career: "Your painting is really perfect, but I can't seem to feel the warmth of life from it." Tony suddenly realized that the original painting by himself "Masterpiece" is so immature and so ugly.
A few years later, Tony entered a design company and started working from his own home as an independent illustrator. Due to his outstanding brushwork and superb skills, Tony's business has continued one after another, and his works have been published in large numbers. Almost every day, editors from major publishing houses come and go. One day, Yingzi, who came to pick up the original illustrations of Tony's illustrations, quietly entered his life.
Tony and his elderly father have not talked for a long time. Due to his busy work, if there is nothing special, he and his father rarely meet once in 2 or 3 years. Under the shade of the tree, Tony stared blankly at Yingzi, the long lonely life seems to be gone, and a new life immersed in happiness is coming.
The warm married life makes Toni ー Takiya gradually get rid of the long-term lonely life. However, the wife, who has always liked designer clothes, gradually lost control, and the morbid shopping desire invaded the relationship between the two, and even took her own life. Toni ー Takiya can't bear the sudden loneliness, finds a girl who is exactly like his wife and asks her to show him wearing his wife's clothes every day
