The director Hitchcock appeared in the film, and he was sitting next to John Robbie on the bus.
In the scene where Robbie was talking with an insurance salesperson, the two talked about the chef's unusually sensitive hands, and the German version of the film was significantly different from the English version. In the German version, Robbie said that she had caught a lion running away from the circus with bare hands; in the English version, Robbie said that she had silently strangled a German officer with her hand.
Cary Grant and Grace Kelly formed a lifelong friendship because of the film, and they have maintained a friendly relationship for decades.
When Grace Kelly promoted the film during the Cannes Film Festival, she met her future king husband, married into the royal family of Monaco and became the princess of Monaco.
The place where Grace Kelly died in a car accident in 1982 was exactly the section of the road where she drove in To Catch a Thief.
