On November 1, 2014, the CEO of Marvel Studios confirmed to the media that Loki will not die in Thor 3: Ragnarok, and that the movie universe and comics are completely independent of each other.
In May 2016, announced the cast lineup and role introduction of the film. On August 9, "Thor 3: Ragnarok" has been filming for more than a month and a half.
On September 8, 2017, the flame giant Surtel also made an official appearance, and Thor gave his team a new name. On September 10, a special IMAX poster was released. The screen chose the blood red of Thor's shirt and the bright green of Hulk's transformation, and the comic brush strokes outlined the figures of the eight main protagonists. On October 10th, the world premiere was held in Los Angeles. On October 24th, Wanda Cinemas, Disney Pictures, and IMAX jointly organized events in Wanda IMAX theaters in 20 cities in China. Four thousand movie fans gathered across China to see the highlights of the 30-minute long and first screening in Asia. Most of them are presented in IMAX full-frame format. The IMAX3D version of the film will have an exclusive before the show, the 10th anniversary of the Marvel movie, which is 2 minutes and 40 seconds in length (the special is 2D).
