In "The Wrong Man", Alfred Hitchcock tells a terrible story with a reunion comedy. In the film, the passage of Christoph Palestechero’s imprisonment is outstanding. The film describes the entire process of Christopher's imprisonment very delicately, and every link is meticulous and calm. This imprisoned passage shook the audience's soul in a silent place, which made the audience resonate strongly. The handling at the end of the film is another outstanding feature. Although the truth of the case has been revealed, the heroine Rose is still in a mental breakdown, which causes the audience's excitement to become heavy again. Although the film has a happy ending with subtitles, the gloomy ending still makes the audience deeply afraid of law and contingency
. "The Wrong Man" also presents a family scene that moves the audience. The marriage of the hero in the film is the most loyal relationship in Hitchcock's film
.
"The Wrong Man" has some fundamental errors. The film purely expresses the theological background of "Hitchcock World". In this world, the protagonist is controlled by a "hidden God". But because the film succumbed to the temptation of serious psychological realism, even when it showed the most tragic scenes, the film could hardly move the audience
