The application of color and painting style has reached a very high level, whether it is in the countryside, the city, or the majestic large aircraft, and the test flight process, it shows the atmosphere, fresh and beautiful feeling. Hisaishi Joe, who has collaborated with Miyazaki Hayao many times, uses a brisk accordion and mandolin to create the main melody. The string ensemble is gentle and long, adding a lot of points to the film.
However, the film’s narrative can be called a “running account”, just moving forward in chronological order without any suspense. Except for Jiro talking with idols in his dream, the other plots are basically the evolution of real life. In the past, Miyazaki Hayao's endless imagination, dark, and critical attributes disappeared. This is the disappointing part of the film.
