It's always been very good - the needle is hidden in the cotton, slowly advancing, and clues are gradually revealed - until the outbreak of the climax scene, overturning all the emotions and logic accumulated before: if the truth behind the matter is really so unspeakable, the wife is so humiliated, and the husband is again It is so shameless that the perfect couple we have seen before is difficult to establish, and it is difficult to believe that the wife has only carried, or even cared for, huge unwillingness and injustice for so many years without fermentation at all.

At 26 minutes, I couldn't help but think that Mo Yan was also 'attacked' in his bed in his sleep. The movie is average, the female lead's performance is not amazing, but the male lead is somewhat worth seeing. Such a cowardly, selfish, half-villain character has plenty of room for performance.

Elaine Mozell: Don't ever think that you can get their attention.
Young Joan: Whose?
Elaine Mozell: The men. Who write the reviews. Who run the publishing houses. Who edit the magazines. The ones who decide who gets to be taken seriously, who gets to be put up on a pedestal for the rest of their lives.
Young Joan: A writer has to write.
Elaine Mozell: A writer has to be read, honey.
