The Vow movie plot

2021-11-23 19:53
Peggy and Leo are newlyweds, both artists, living in Chicago, and madly in love with each other. On a snowy night, an accident happened and their car parked at the intersection was hit by a truck. Leo escaped, but Peggy fell into a coma. When she woke up, Leo had become a stranger, and she had lost her memory for five years.
Leo suddenly found himself in a very painful position: his wife didn't know him, and the love between them naturally disappeared, and he had to take time to start all over again. Leo, whom Peggy knew, was still a law student at that time, and then turned into an artist. For Leo, Peggy is such a person, and he doesn't know what happened before. Because of amnesia, Peggy can't fully understand the reasons for the tension between her and her parents, and she can't understand the root of her dropping out of school and giving up the law major. To make matters worse, Peggy thinks that a businessman named Jeremy is still pursuing her. If everything for five years is followed, she will never fall in love with Leo, who is already her husband in law and makes music.
It seemed that Peggy's memory was impossible to recover, and Leo had to face the cruel reality of losing his lover and love. But Leo, who was not ready to give up, decided to start all over again, starting from where they met for the first time. He thinks that if you can fall in love once, why can't you fall in love a second time?

The Vow quotes

  • Paige: Are you trying to make me diabetic or just fat?

  • Leo: The moment of impact. The moment of impact proves potential for change. Has ripples effects far beyond what we can predict. Sending some particles crashing together. Making them closer than before. While sending others spinning off into great ventures. Landing them where you've never thought you've found them. That's the thing about moments like these. You can't, no matter how hard you try, controlling how it's gonna affect you. You just gotta let the colliding part goes where they may. And wait. For the next collision.
