In the setting of the script, Rachel McAdams played the role of an amnestic woman as an artist, so the director looked for a qualified art director to draw some paintings that could express her emotions and put it in the movie. The first thing that director Michael Suxi thought of was Karina Ivanov, who had worked with him in the movie "Grey Garden". So he sent the script of the film to Ivanov, hoping that she could design the scene for the film and get all the art sculptures.
Karina Ivanov, who got the script, was quickly conquered by this story and gladly accepted the job. Karina Ivanov believes that what the film shows is a sad love story, so every scene she designed for the film is meaningful. It is not just a simple environment and a place for them to move around, but more of a display that represents their past life scenes, living habits and life details.
