In California, Kate McCaw was a well-known lawyer who was troubled by bad family relationships. Kate wants to obtain custody of her daughter. Her daughter lives with her father in Seattle. In order to recover and obtain custody of her daughter, she must first take the next case. Lacey claims that she was wrongly accused of murdering another woman. And she also said that she was raped in prison. Kate investigates and collects evidence everywhere to prove that Lacey's case is innocent. Her case is fabricated, but is she really innocent? the answer is negative. Kate succeeded in Lacey's defense, but soon discovered the truth of the matter. As a result, Kate fell into entanglement, and her heart was full of struggles and contradictions, but in the end she maintained her principles in her own way and eased the contradictions in the family relationship.
