Dawn and Peter live happily with their four children in a small village in Australia. But Peter's sudden death has dealt a huge blow to the family. Each family member went on with their lives in their own way, with 8-year-old Simone reluctant to attend the funeral. She preferred to climb the huge fig tree in the yard , where she spent so much time with her father. For her, angels have "batman-like stretchable wings" and dad goes to live in the trees. Dawn also regained his strength, and family life gradually improved.
Strangely enough, nature is gradually encroaching on the home: frogs are found locked in the bathroom, bats are "roaming" the house, and the trees are getting bigger and seriously threatening the foundations of the house.
