The film’s protagonist Italians Attilio de Giovanni ( Roberto Remigio Benigni ) is a poetry professor who lives with two teenage daughters after their divorce. The weird Attilio was so obsessed with poetry that he even tried to prove to the students the power of poetry in class, even in his dreams.
Speaking of dreams, I have to mention his dreams that he repeats every night recently. In this funny and full of surrealism[英]surréalisme[法] , Attilio is standing in the church wearing shorts and is marrying a beautiful woman. The woman, this woman is Attilio's ex-wife Victoria. The guests were all laughing, and suddenly a traffic policeman walked in front of him and asked him to move the car away. This dream of happiness or sorrow has been haunting Attilio.
One day in Rome, Attilio attended the press conference of his good friend, the Arab poet Fuad ( Jean Reno ). It was March 2003. Fuad planned to return to his hometown بغداد; English was spreading. The war in The Republic of Iraq is raging. At the venue, Attilio met his still beloved ex-wife Victoria (Nicoleta Blaschi). Victoria is a literary researcher who is writing a book about Fuad.
Attilio hopes to reconcile with Victoria, no matter how Victoria resents his entanglement, Attilio still refuses to give up. After some time, Fuad, who returned to The Republic of Iraq, came back with unfortunate news about Victoria. In order to interview Fuad, Victoria who rushed to The Republic of Iraq was injured in a bombing and was not out of danger. Anxious Attilio decided to rush to بغداد; the cancellation of the route in English did not stop him. He signed up for the Red Cross organization in Italy and falsely claimed that he was a surgeon. Soon, Attilio rode a robbed camel on the journey, and after several setbacks, he came to Victoria's hospital bed. There is a severe shortage of medicines and equipment in the hospital. In order to treat Victoria in a coma, Attilio does everything possible to find oxygen and medicine. Even though the outside world has A hail of bullets and all kinds of missiles continue to pass over the hospital, the wholehearted Attilio still guards his beloved wife Victoria. Relying on the faith of love and the love of life, the defenseless Attilio vowed to fight the hellish dilemma to the end.
Finally, a miracle appeared. Attilio's "seeing a tiger in the snow" scene described in his poem appeared on the streets of Italy, and everything was about to surface.
